i can’t believe you consider all these ideas in such shallow ways and don’t even mention the costs of fare evasion

This is the first time I’ve ever forgotten. I certainly don’t feel lucky, Dave.

After the inspector wrote me the citation, I immediately went home and retrieved my pass, along with the receipt. I returned to the light rail shortly afterward (about an hour later) and showed the inspector my pass, along with the receipt. I pointed out that the date on the receipt proves I purchased it over a week ago (in late May) and that the credit card used to purchase the month pass matched my credit card proving that it was me who purchased it.

I was hoping this would be sufficient to prove to the inspector that I’m an honest, paying customer and that I’m not out to defraud VTA. However, the inspector did not accept this and ordered me to leave him alone, so I left without further appeal. I’m feeling very frustrated right now because I’m an honest, loyal, paying customer and I’m being treated like a criminal. I’m currently trying to explore my options for getting this cleared up because I did, in fact, pay my fare and I can prove it.
